Who we are
Toolbenders Talent Network is operated by Geoco Strategy & Design LLC, based in Arizona. The platform lives at talent.toolbenders.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Name, email, and account credentials (via Clerk)
- Portfolio links, resume, work history, skills
- Company information (if you're an employer)
- Waitlist submissions
- Any messages or content you submit through the platform
Information we gather from public sources
- Public portfolio sites, personal websites
- Public GitHub profiles
- Public social media profiles (Twitter/X via API)
- Public company information (team pages, job listings, press)
Information collected automatically
- Basic analytics (page views, feature usage) via Vercel Analytics
- Error and performance data via Sentry
- IP address and browser information (standard web server logs)
How we use AI
This is important, so we're being direct about it.
We use Anthropic Claude and Perplexity AI to:
- Generate candidate profile summaries from the information you provide and public sources
- Research companies to help match candidates
- Create AI-assisted insights about market trends and fit
- Summarize and synthesize profile data
What this means for you
- AI-generated summaries are reviewed in our workflow — they're tools, not final decisions
- Your data is sent to these AI providers to generate summaries (subject to their privacy policies)
- We don't use your data to train AI models — we're API customers, not model trainers
- You can request to see any AI-generated content about you

With companies (if you're a candidate)

- This includes your submitted info and AI-generated summaries
- We only share with companies actively hiring through our network
With candidates (if you're a company)
- We share basic company information and the role you're hiring for

- Sell your personal data
- Share your data with advertisers
- Give your contact info to third parties for marketing
We may share data if
- Required by law (subpoena, court order)
- Necessary to protect our rights or safety
Cookies
We use cookies for:
- Authentication (keeping you logged in) — Clerk
- Basic analytics — Vercel Analytics
- Rate limiting — Upstash
No advertising or tracking cookies. No cookie banner games.
Data retention
- Active accounts: We keep your data while your account is active
- Deleted accounts: We remove your data within 30 days of account deletion
- Waitlist submissions: Kept until you're admitted or you ask us to remove them
- Server logs: Rotated every 90 days
Your rights
You can:
- Access your data — email us, we'll send you everything we have
- Correct inaccurate data — update your profile or email us
- Delete your data — request account deletion, we'll remove everything within 30 days
- See AI content — request any AI-generated summaries about you
- Export your data — we'll provide it in a standard format
- Opt out of AI profiling — email us, we'll use manual processes only (may affect matching speed)

We don't sell personal information. We don't share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have all the rights listed above.
Security
- Data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (Supabase encryption)
- Authentication managed by Clerk (SOC 2 compliant)
- Rate limiting on all API endpoints
- Role-based access control
- We don't store passwords directly
Children
This platform is for working professionals. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and notify you via email for material changes.
